Librarian's Showcase
On January 13 students at Moore Traditional were visited by Alecia Whitaker, debut young adult author! Whitaker, a Kentucky native, was there to discuss her new novel, "Queen of Kentucky." Over 175 students signed up to hear Ms. Whitaker speak about her novel, the hardships of getting published, how to be creative in their own writing, and how to make characters come to life through the written word.
Moore Traditional library media specialist, Gwen Wethington sponsored a drawing for those in attendance and gave away four copies of the novel.
